PO WER programme - additional support for students with disabilities and social scholarships. PO WER - Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development. PO WER programme allows granting additional financial support for foreign mobility for disabled and in difficult financial situation students accepted for a mobility within the framework of Erasmus + programme. Additional funds under the program may be applied for:

  • Students with a financial aid scholarship [stypednium socjalne]
  • Students with a recognized degree of disability.

Any student with a disability certificate may apply for additional funds, regardless of its degree. Detailed information on the co-financing of costs related to disability can be found in the "Conditions for granting co-financing for the mobility of disabled students". Support from the OP KED program funds covers mobility to all participating countries. Students who apply for PO WER program under the Erasmus exchange apply on the same terms as other students, i.e. they must undergo the application process. However, they can apply for additional funds for their mobility under PO WER programme. The scholarship is paid in the Polish currency (PLN) to the account indicated by the scholarship holder.

Disabled students can get additional funds to cover their disability costs, without which their mobility would not be possible, e.g.
- costs of travel and stay of an accompanying and supporting person,
- remuneration of a professional local guardian,
- special medical care,
- special teaching materials,
- special medical insurance costs,

- the purchase of medicines during the exchange and other incurred costs related to the disability.

We also recommend disabled students to contact with the Plenipotentiary for Disabled People whose mission is to put equal opportunities for people with disabilities in access to education.
