EU citizens

Citizens of the European Union and the European Economic Area can enter Poland without visas.

Can stay on the territory of the RP on the basis of a valid travel document or another valid document that confirms persons identity and citizenship.

However, the stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland, longer than 3 months, must be registered.

To do so, one has to:


Non-EU citizens need to apply for a visa before their arrival in Poland. In order to apply for a student visa, candidates need to receive an acceptance letter from the Lublin University of Technology which can be issued once all the application documents are submitted.  

Please note that visa policies can vary depending on the country and an acceptance letter might not be sufficient to obtain a visa in some countries.

When you are in Poland:

When your visa is coming to the end, you need to apply for the document allowing you to stay legally, for longer. Now, during the epidemic state [2020-10-05] all the visas are automatically prolonged up to the end of this period + 30 days more after it's cancellation date. You need to be aware of the fact that you can legally stay in Poland but cannot travel abroad.
